Linguist Guide:
Adding language pairs

After signing in click on your name at the top right corner

Click on My Languages

Select a Source Language from the dropdown, you can also start typing a language to find it

Select a Target Language from the dropdown

Click and enter a price for how much you want to charge per word

Click on the check mark and read through our Linguist Terms of Service

Click Agree on the bottom right corner to become an active translator that our customers can select
Using the workbench

Once a customer has selected you for their project, you will receive an email notification. Click Accept to start working on the project or Decline if you are not able to Note: Although we support use in all browsers, we recommend using Google Chrome for the best experience

Sign in to your account and click on your name at the top right corner

Click My Workbench to view the files in the project, you’ll see the source file has been split into numbered segments with the source text on top and the AI translation on the bottom

Click on the Download Source File icon on the top left, you’ll need this to compare with the completed translation

Click on the AI translation in the segment to review and type in any of your changes. The segment number will turn green once it has been reviewed. Note: all segments must be clicked on even if no changes need to be made in order for the segment to be marked as reviewed and all segments need to be marked as reviewed in order for the translation to be considered complete

If you want to view only the segments that contain tags click on the Filter by Tags icon in the top left corner, learn more about Tags below in the Tags in the Workbench section

If you want to review only the segments that have an error click on the Filter by Faults icon Note: a segment has an error if there is a tag in the source but there is no corresponding tag in the target translation. If a tag was accidentally removed in the target you can click on the words or the tag in the source and drag them down to the correct place in the target to add them back in

If you have reviewed the file but realize a segment was missed you can click on the Filter by Unreviewed icon to quickly view the missed segment

Once you have completed your review of the translation, click the Publish Translation icon on the top left

Click on the Download Target Translation icon and compare it to the source that was downloaded earlier to confirm formatting is the same

Once you have made any changes and confirmed that there are no formatting issues upload the file by clicking on the Upload Finished Project icon on the left

Click on the File Complete icon on the top right

The checklist popup should have a green check mark next to all steps, but if something was missed click on the icon to complete that step. Note: The last step, upload DTP version, is the only one that doesn’t need to be completed if no formatting changes were made to the target version after downloading

If there are multiple files in this project click on the file name dropdown to select another file to work on

Once you have finished reviewing all files in the project click on the Project Complete icon on the top right
Keyboard Shortcuts:
Tab: move to the next segment
Command + Z (Mac) or Ctrl + Z (PC): undo last change
Command + Shift + Z (Mac) or Ctrl + Shift + Z (PC) : redo last change
Command + C (Mac) or Ctrl + C (PC): copy
Command + V (Mac) or Ctrl + V (PC): paste
Icons in the workbench
Filter by Tags: View only the segments that have tags
Filter by Unreviewed: View only the segments that haven’t been reviewed yet
Filter by Faults: View only the segments that have errors
Download Source File: Download the source file to compare to the target translation
Publish Translation: Publish the translation once it has been fully reviewed and edited
Download Target Translation: Will only appear after the translation has been published, download the target to compare with the source for any formatting issues
Upload Finished Project: Upload the target translation once you have confirmed that target format matches the source
File Complete: All steps have been completed and file is fully translated with correct formatting
Project Complete: All files in the project have been reviewed
Tags in the workbench
Tags are used for all formatting and are automatically applied to the machine translation.

If the text is blue that signifies that there are formatting tags around it

You can click on the Tags button below the segment to see where the symbolic tags are located

In this Tags view, if the tags are in the wrong place you can click and drag the tag left or right until it is in the right place. You cannot edit text while in this view

The segment turns red with an error if there is a tag in the source and there is not a corresponding tag in the target

If you delete the tag in the target, you can click on the words or the tag in the source and drag them down to the correct place in the target to add them back in

If you would like to see the raw tag you can click on the </> Code button

If you want to view only the segments that contain tags, click on the Filter by Tags icon
Temporarily deactivate your profile

Sign in to your account and click on your name on the top right corner

Click on My Languages

Click on the toggle under the Active column and you will no longer be available for projects until you set it back to active status
Troubleshooting Tips
Although we support use in all browsers, we recommend using Google Chrome for the best experience. If you sign into your account with multiple tabs open, it can lead to unexpected behavior.
